Chicken, mutton and buffalo: what India can export
A plain-language map of the three legal lines we sell — and why beef is not on the list.
Buffalo: boneless, deglanded, usually frozen, from APEDA-registered plants. Bone-in buffalo is not exportable.
Mutton: sheep and goat, carcass or cuts, chilled or frozen, from registered plants.
Chicken: poultry export is allowed. Whole birds and parts, frozen or chilled, with Halal documents where the destination requires them.
Beef from cattle is not exported from India. If a tender says ‘Indian beef’, we will ask whether you mean buffalo. If you need Australian or Brazilian cattle beef, that is a different origin and not this catalogue.
